What a Weekend!!

Hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend! We sure have. You can tell my my time stamp that I'm playing hooky from church. Busted! :) 

Friday, Catherine and I went to Jack's school to help with the Valentine's Party. I think it was all a little too exciting for Jack...he was completely bouncing off the walls. So much excitement!! A friend over after school! Heart-shaped Doughnuts with icing for snack! Sister is in my class! Poor teacher!! She had asked us to have the kids write the names themselves on their Valentine's. For two weeks I'd been working on this with Jack. One today, two the next day....well, two other moms and myself were the only meanies that made them do it!!! Ugh! And he is the baby of his class too! I felt like a mean mama, but oh well, he made it through OK. :)

Saturday we had 2 birthday parties, one for a class mate of Jack's and another for one of Catherine's MDO friends (whose big brother is Jack's buddy). Dad had been up the night before moonlighting and then had to go in to read out first thing so I braved it alone. Needless to say, I took a power nap when I got home!! First to Pump-it up with Jack's friends, and then to Helen's First Birthday. Catherine was taking stock of all the birthday festivities, and making some mental notes for her own shin-dig in 2 weeks. I told her not to get her hopes up after going to Helen's party where she had a carousel and a moon bounce. She really loved that carousel! Wish I had a photo but no luck as I was holding onto her for dear life and trying not to get nauseous while going in circles!!

My turn next! 

After Catherine and I power napped at home, we cooked some steaks and enjoyed a quiet valentine's at home. Jack took his balloon favor from school and wrote "to God and Jesus" on it so he could let it go outside and send them a Valentine. I thought that warranted a photo. One day when he's a smart-allecky teenager, I can look back at that picture and remember when! haha :) 

This morning Catherine has been showing off her skillz pushing Jack's chair around the house as a walker. We have on of those pushing things, but apparently, this is way more fun!

And last but not least, Chris signed a contract on Friday. Pretty big news for us! So Summer 2010... look out Starkville! Here we come!
