Updates

It's been way too long since the last update for our clan and not because of lack of material to be sure! Most likely, it's because I've been chasing around Catherine who is now officially a walker. Sheesh!! She is so proud of herself!

Catherine has grown so much. She eats way more than Jack does these days. What a piglet! Her one year checkup was great. She was 22 lbs and 6 oz (75% percentile), and her height was about 26" (95%). She's a very sweet girl and is generally happy being around the party. She's very affectionate and gives juicy open-mouth kisses and "hugs" by laying her cheek on you. She's starting to talk a bunch too. The word of the month is "uh-oh" which she can say about as well as "kitty." Pretty much anything with fur is a kitty, except Chewy who she calls "da daw." She's also trying to say "Thank you." Probably "shoe" will be the next word. This chickadee loves her some shoes!!!!! Hands you shoes and sticks her foot out for you put them on her feet. This just goes on and on until you are tired of changing her shoes. Loves bows but wants to take them out and try to put them in on her own. And absolutely loves for you to slather her up with

 lotion. She just rubs all over her tummy obviously thinking "Wow! I feel so soft! And I smell nice too!" Also she's into the fake crying and drama queen fits where we lay on the floor fake crying as the world is ending, but luckily those don't happen incredibly often and they are

 always only for attention. Is anyone else thinking that they can't wait 12-15 years to see this Diva in action with Christopher? haha :)  

Jack is a funny little guy. Still talking incessantly. We went to the zoo yesterday when Chris was off, and Jack wore the ears off everyone he saw. One poor girl asked her mom if they could go somewhere else. Hmmm. He really enjoyed his first soccer game. We have a ways to go before we can bend it like Beckham. We haven't grasped the "you can't use your hands." He did score a goal...even if it was by illegal means! oh well! :)

Excuse the mess. We are cleaning Jack's room. Can't you tell? haha :) The kids are big fans of the BNL kids cd. Catherine was really into it, but unfortunately, I'm just catching the tail end of it. I wasn't quite fast enough with the camera. She doesn't have the moves of Ellie Shelton, but then again Catherine's mama could never dance like Ellie's mama either.  hee hee :)
